Dionne Warwick Teases a Duet With Dolly Parton

2023 has nothing but great news for all Dolly Parton fans. After co-hosting Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party, she is now making headlines for a duet she is working on with Dionne Warwick. Dionne Warwick recently announced that she is set to release a collaborative gospel song with Dolly Parton titled ‘Peace Like A River’.

“Parton sent me a song that she wanted me to record, and I said, ‘Okay, that sounds like a deal,'” Warwick said with regards to their collaboration. 

Warwick noted, “she’s such a sweetheart, I know her. And she sent me another song, the one that we’re going to be doing as a duet. It’s a gospel song called ‘Peace Like a River’. She wrote it, and I am very excited about this. I really am. I’ve done so many duets over the years, but this one’s going to be very special.”

The two singers have never worked together before and that’s what makes it all the more exciting. Warwick has collaborated with multiple artists over the last few years, which includes Chance The Rapper for ‘Nothing’s Impossible’.

For New Year’s day, a documentary on Warwick’s life was released which was titled ‘Don’t Make Me Over’. Snoop Dog made an appearance in the same and claimed to be “out-gangstered” by Warwick through her 1990s Hip Hop scene where she addressed misogyny and was vocal about other issues.

“She was checking me at a time when I thought we couldn’t be checked,” Snoop said regarding Warwick’s influence on his life. He added, “Dionne, I hope I became the jewel that you saw when I was the little, dirty rock that was in your house. I hope I’m making you proud.”
