Diplo Back With New Song ‘Wasted’ Under Country Music Moniker Thomas Wesley

Diplo is back with a bang! His new song ‘Wasted’ is his first outing under country music moniker Thomas Wesley since ‘Diplo Presents Thomas Wesley Chapter 1: Snake Oil’. This was his first full country music release that came out in 2020. The video for ‘Wasted’ is directed by Austin Peters, who is also famous for the documentary ‘Give Me Future’. The documentary is about Major Lazer’s historic 2016 concert that was a big smash, and drew 400,000 fans to Havana.

Diplo has been nominated for two awards at the 65th Grammy Awards--Best Dance/Electronic Album and Best Dance/Electronic Recording for ‘Don’t Forget My Love’ with Miguel. He was also recently pictured in a traditional Qatari outfit in Doha while performing at the 2022 FIFA World Cup. He performed as a part of Major Lazer in Qatar for the Daydream Festival, which was a celebration held during the tournament. 

Diplo shared a photo of himself in a Qatari shirt called a thobe and a gutra headdress. He captioned it with, “Damn spain up 7-0 i’m not even paying attention I just wanna make sure my hat thing looks alright.”
