Disclosure and Pa Salieu Join Forces for a Fresh Collaboration, ‘King Steps’
Disclosure and Pa Salieu have dropped a new collaboration titled King Steps, marking a bold step forward for the UK rap artist. The track, which blends elements of garage music, follows Salieu’s recent mixtape Afrikan Alien, released shortly after his release from prison in September.
Disclosure expressed their excitement about the track, noting that King Steps represents the darker, more intense side of their sound. They highlighted the significant influence of UK Garage on their music and were thrilled to see the genre’s resurgence over the past year. They also shared their enthusiasm about collaborating with Salieu, recognizing him as one of the leading talents in the UK music scene right now.

Salieu, on the other hand, explained that while garage music might not be the first genre people would expect him to experiment with, his identity as an “Afrikan Alien” embraces stepping outside boundaries and exploring new sounds. He described the collaboration with Disclosure as a fusion of their unique styles, resulting in a track that merges their musical worlds.
Following his time in prison, Pa Salieu is being welcomed back into the UK rap scene with open arms. Many believe that he has transformed, with one commenter stating that the new Pa Salieu should be celebrated as a fresh and positive force in the industry.
Salieu’s legal troubles stemmed from an incident in 2018 when he was involved in a fight after his friend Fidel Glasgow, the grandson of The Specials’ Neville Staple, was stabbed. Salieu was sentenced to 33 months after being found guilty of possessing a bottle as an offensive weapon and violent disorder. However, after serving 21 months, Salieu made his comeback, releasing his first track since his release, titled Belly.
In other news, Disclosure’s London Boiler Room performance was recently cancelled following a crowd surge at the event.
