Doja Cat was one of the many celebrities who lost their verification badge on Twitter after Elon Musk decided that only people who pay $8 for Twitter Blue will be verified.
She recently responded to a fan, who noticed her missing checkmark and stated that “it’s over” for her. She replied saying “Only fans have blue ticks.”

She wrote another tweet discussing the same issue. “Having a blue tick now means theres a higher chance that you’re a complete loser and that you’re desperate for validation from famous people,” she tweeted.
Initially, Twitter’s blue check mark was given to companies, celebrities, government entities and journalists verified by the platform to avoid fake accounts impersonating public figures and any other confusion. However, when Elon Musk took over, people had to pay $8 a month for the tick and additional features that “offer subscribers a way to enhance and customize their Twitter experience.”
