Doja Cat Finally Announces New Single’s Release Date

Doja Cat is finally releasing new music! The celebrity announced the release of her brand-new song on social media. She did not disclose the song’s title, but she did include a blood drop emoji and a cover image with a bloodied, upside-down letter ‘A.’

Doja has been dropping ‘The Scarlet Letter’-themed hints in the days leading up to the announcement, tweeting that “scarlet was here” accompanied with the identical blood drop emoji. The emoji reappeared in a tweet recently where she said, “scarlet’s watching.” Last but not the least, she wrote over the weekend, “let myself heal, scar finally sealed.”

Her breakthrough album, ‘Planet Her’, which included the hits ‘Need to Know,’ ‘Woman,’ ‘Ain’t S—,’ and ‘Get Into It (Yuh),’ peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. ‘Planet Her’ will be followed by a full-length album.

Doja shocked her audience in May when she made fun of both her 2019 project, ‘Hot Pink’ and ‘Planet Her’.

“Planet her and hot pink were cash-grabs and yall fell for it,” she declared. “Now i can go disappear somewhere and touch grass with my loved ones on an island while yall weep for mediocre pop.”
