Doja Cat Reveals New Album Title, Calls ‘Planet Her’ and ‘Hot Pink’ “Cash-Grabs”

Doja Cat is finally revealing the name of her upcoming album, and burning bridges with her older albums. Right before she revealed the name, she tweeted about her highly successful past two releases, ‘Planet Her’ and ‘Hot Pink’.
“Planet her and hot pink were cash-grabs and yall fell for it,” Doja tweeted. “Now i can go disappear somewhere and touch grass with my loved ones on an island while yall weep for mediocre pop.”

Both these albums charted in the top 10 of the Billboard 200. However, a few minutes later she tweeted again to share her fourth album’s title. The album was tentatively titled ‘Hellmouth’ according to the name Doja teased on Twitter before.
“its not called hEllMoUth either its called ‘First of All’ and yes I’m announcing the album title right now,” she told her fans.
Doja often misleads her fans about the direction of her next record to create anticipation. For instance, she once insisted in a magazine interview that her next project was going to be inspired by 1990s German rave music. However, after the interview, she tweeted, “I’m not doing a german rave culture album you guys i was pranking the outlet that interviewed me about it.”

She also tweeted multiple times claiming that the album was everything from rap to R&B to rock to experimental jazz. So, as far as her album-related announcements go, it’s best to wait for the album to come out to finally know what’s on it.
Doja Cat also wore a prosthetic cat nose and ears to honour Karl Lagerfeld’s pet cat, Choupette at the Met Gala this year. Along with that, she also debuted a new tattoo of a bat skeleton that covers her upper back. She was also crowned pop songwriter of the year at the BMI Pop Awards for writing songs such as ‘Get Into It (Yuh),’ ‘Woman,’ ‘Need to Know’ and ‘You Right,’ from ‘Planet Her’.
