Especially around Christmas, Dolly Parton goes all out for every occasion. The legendary country music performer recently talked about how much she enjoys celebrating the holidays in an interview with Good Housekeeping UK.
She explained, “I dress up as Santa Claus and make a big entrance down the chimney with a sack full of gifts. I play Granny Claus every year.” Even though her nieces and nephews have grown up, they still look to her to continue this treasured custom.
“One day, I’ll be hobbling in that elevator!” Parton said comically. Since she doesn’t have children, she has accepted the idea of treating all youngsters as her own as she gets older, she said in a 2018 interview with People. She made it clear that she wanted to give kids confidence and empowerment.

When questioned about her Christmas décor, Parton revealed that although she keeps her house’s appearance uncomplicated for guests, the interior is a whole other story. She decorates every area with Christmas trees and lights, and she even switches around the dishtowels, drapes, and ornaments to make every space feel festive.
Incorporating Christmas lights into her hair and accessorizing with festive pieces like light-up sweaters, earrings, and a reindeer necklace, Parton also enjoys her holiday appearance.

In addition to her festive happiness, Dolly Parton is always giving back. Her home state of Tennessee was affected by Hurricane Helene, for which she just gave $1 million. “I wish that we were all together for a different reason,” she said, expressing her sadness over the destruction while working with Walmart and local businesses. As she thought back on her origins, she emphasized her strong ties to the region by recalling the splendour of the mountains and rivers in her village.
