Dove Cameron Reflects on ‘Descendants’ Films Ahead of 10th Anniversary

Dove Cameron has all praising words for ‘Descendants’ movies.

 In a recent interview, the actress and singer discussed how the Disney Channel Original Movies, beginning with the 2015 debut, were essential to her development as a person and an artist.  She compared creating the movies to summer camp, where the actors trained for a month before the movies were shot.  Due to their youth and lack of experience at the time, the cast developed close relationships that reflected the friendships that most people make in school.  For Cameron, it was a singular experience that would never be duplicated; it seemed enchanted and intensely absorbing.

In the interview, she emphasised the bond she had with her co-stars, stating that while the audience adores the outcomes, the true magic, in her opinion, lies in the friendships and the shared maturation process they went through behind the scenes.

The 29-year-old Cameron also emphasised the significance of the experience for her career advancement.  She learned how to be a tenacious and tough worker while working on the trilogy.  She clarified that although they were kid-friendly movies, the process of making them was really difficult, acknowledging that even as an adult, she would still find the demands difficult.  Nonetheless, everyone wanted the young stars to succeed, so the atmosphere was encouraging and provided a secure setting for learning, development, and discovery.  In terms of developing her professional skills, she looks back on those three summers with fondness as some of the most influential times in her life.

In light of her current job, Cameron wants to encourage her followers to have faith in fresh starts.  She hopes that her art and life narrative would inspire a sense of excitement, self-expression, and boundless possibilities every day by demonstrating that people are in charge of defining their own lives.

 After more thought, Cameron revealed that sometimes the best results emerge from decisions that initially appear unsure or even incorrect.  She has frequently made snap decisions motivated by fear or excitement, and those experiences have ultimately improved her path.

 Her most recent single, ‘Too Much,’ is currently available and continues her artistic development as she uses her music and career to share themes of self-discovery and hope.
