Drake Announces New Album: “Certified Lover Boy”

Drake announces new album

Earlier today, Drake dropped a brand new song (seemingly out of the blue). The track, titled ‘Laugh Now Cry Later’, features fellow rapper Lil Durk. And, if that wasn’t enough, it was accompanied by an official music video, complete with pop culture references and satire. And so, this release joins the string of new music Drizzy has put out recently, including his collaborations with DJ Khaled.

‘Laugh Now Cry Later’ sees Drake and Lil Durk teaming up for a signature trap-rap song. The duo exchange some fun bars, detailing life in the language of sports metaphors, witty quips and a backing track of a looped synth arrangement.

Further, the music video for ‘Laugh Now Cry Later’ sees Drizzy and Durk travelling across different sports – basketball to jet skiing – they do it all. And, if you thought the visualiser couldn’t get any more confusing, hold your horses. Because, there enters Kevin Durant, for a casual game of ball with Drake.

In addition to the new single, Drake surprised fans and subsequently broke the internet with the announcement of a new album. ‘Laugh Now Cry Later’ will find its place on the rapper’s upcoming studio album “Certified Lover Boy”. Drizzy took to social media to reveal the project with a simple caption: “Laugh Now Cry Later off my next studio album CERTIFIED LOVER BOY.”

And, while we have no news about the exact release date of the upcoming album, the first single is sure to keep us company as we wait.
