An insider said that Dua is creating waves in both music and
cinema. She made a good impression in Argylle, and word of her talent travelled
throughout Hollywood. Now she's joined the cast of Barbie with Margot Robbie,
Ryan Gosling, Will Ferrell and Saoirse Ronan.
This confirms rumours that the film will have several Barbie
and Ken characters. According to The New York Times' Kyle Buchanan, Issa Rae
and Hari Nef will play Barbie alongside Robbie, while Simu Liu and Ncuti Gatwa
will portray variants of Ken alongside Ryan Gosling.
Liu recently revealed that he agreed to work on the film after his agent praised the script as one of the best he'd ever read.

Mackey, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Michael Cera, Rhea Perlman, Connor Swindells, Scott
Evans and Jamie Demetriou are among the other cast members that have been
confirmed.
Gerwig directs Barbie, which is based on a script she co-wrote with her boyfriend Noah Baumbach (Marriage Story). On 21st July, 2023, the film will be released in theatres.
