Dua Lipa Speculated to be Involved in the Upcoming ‘Barbie’ Film

Dua Lipa is a singer-songwriter, who has given multiple hits over the last few years, and established herself as one of the most sought after pop singers. She is known for her peculiar style, and her over-the-top live music performances. However, lately she has been in the talks for more than her music. Fans speculate that Dua Lipa might be involved in the upcoming ‘Barbie’ movie because of the movie’s official instagram page. 

The movie is set to be released on 21st July 2023, and the first teaser trailer is up on their official handles all across the internet. Margot Robbie stars in the movie as the iconic blonde barbie doll, and Ryan Gosling has taken up the character of her dreamy boyfriend, Ken. The new instagram page for the movie follows only 15 people, among which Dua Lipa is one, hence the speculations.

The script for the movie was co-written by Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach, while the former is also directing the movie for Warner Bros Movies. The cast is jam packed with the previously mentioned Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling and other known actors like Will Ferrell, Issa Rae, Kate McKinnon, Simu Liu, Ncuti Gatwa and America Ferrera. Fans believe that Dua Lipa is involved with contributing to the soundtrack of the movie, however, neither the film nor Dua has confirmed any such thing.

The teaser of the movie begins with the narration, “Since the beginning of time, since the first girl ever existed, there have been.. Dolls,” with a group of girls playing with their barbie dolls in a dusty expanse. “But the dolls were always and forever baby dolls.. Until,” the narrator continues, and the scene shifts to Barbie who is posing in white sunglasses, and a one-piece bathing suit. Barbie then tilts her shades down, and gives the girls a wink.
