Dua Lipa Teams Up with Madonna & Missy Elliott For New Remix

Very soon, the music world will bear witness to a phenomenon like no other: Dua Lipa joining forces with Madonna and Missy Elliott. The former took to social media to break the news, gushing over the fact that this league of legends would be working on a remixed version of her track, ‘Levitating’.

Currently, the track witnesses a brilliant collection of her peppy verses. Layered with 80’s aesthetics, the star’s chorus is out to get you up and grooving as Dua sings:

You want me, I want you, baby
My sugar boo, I’m levitating
The milky way, we’re renegading
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

I got you, moonlight
You’re my starlight
I need you all night
Come on, dance with me

Dua put up a picture of all her collaborators, posing for the camera while her caption read: “DREAM COME TRUE LETS GO!!!!!!” It truly is a dream come true for Dua Lipa as she’s labeled Madonna as one of her biggest role models on multiple occasions. In fact, her latest album ‘Future Nostalgia’ draws its retro inspiration from Madonna’s tenth studio album, ‘Confessions on a Dancefloor’.

Interestingly, both Dua and her manager, Ben Mawson, had hinted at this possible collaboration just about a month ago. Mawson mentioned earlier that they were trying to get Madonna on the record. And thankfully, it looks like the Pop Queen didn’t make them wait too long to hear from her.

Now, this will mark yet another top notch collaboration for Dua Lipa in less than a month. Just last week, the young star joined forces with J Balvin, Bad Bunny and Tainy for their dancehall bop, ‘One Day’. And now, the remixed version of ‘Levitating’ is all set to make its landing on August 14th.
