Dua Lipa Teases ‘Dance The Night’ From ‘Barbie’ on Social Media

This Barbie is both a singer and a mermaid! The release date for Dua Lipa’s new song ‘Dance the Night’ from ‘Barbie: The Album’ was announced by Lipa herself on her social media.

The pop artist wrote on Instagram, “This Barbie has a song coming this week… FRIDAY MIDNIGHT BST.” She imitates the instantly recognisable image of Margot Robbie’s arched foot in the ‘Barbie’ trailer in the companion video, stepping out of her fluffy heels, before blowing a kiss at the camera over a dazzling dance groove with just one alluring line: “Just come along for the ride!”

Social media users were very supportive of the recent 2023 Met Gala co-chair news. The official Barbie Instagram account wrote, “Can’t wait,” along with three heart-eyes emojis, and Donatella Versace added, “She’s a Versace Barbie,” along with a wink and a butterfly. In addition, Mark Ronson alternated pink heart and fire emojis in his comments, presumably indicating that he was involved behind the boards on the track.

Dua will also make an appearance in the upcoming live-action ‘Barbie’ movie, which will debut in theatres throughout the country on 21st July. ‘Barbie’ stars Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Simu Liu, Issa Rae and a host of other well-known actors playing Barbies and Kens.
