Dua Lipa Teases New Music!

Dua Lipa is stirring up excitement with her cryptic hints about a new single titled ‘Houdini,’ and fans are eagerly decoding the clues she’s dropping.

First off, it’s hard not to be curious about the teaser Dua Lipa shared on Instagram. The snippet of new music, featuring her singing, “Tell me all the ways you’ll need me,” is an immediate earworm. But what piqued fans’ curiosity were the numbers that flashed at the end of the clip: 4, 8, 9, 9, 14, 15, 21. Fans realized that these numbers could be rearranged to spell ‘Houdini,’ the presumed title of her upcoming single.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time pop culture has drawn inspiration from Houdini. In 1982, Kate Bush’s album ‘The Dreaming’ featured a cover image of the singer holding a key in her mouth, reminiscent of Houdini’s escape methods. The album also includes a track titled ‘Houdini.’

Dua Lipa has been teasing her fans consistently with hints of new music. In her recent posts, she shared clips of herself with a key in her mouth, leaving fans in suspense with captions like, “I’m not here for long” and “Catch me before I go.” This gradual buildup of anticipation has been keeping her followers on the edge of their seats.

With her Instagram profile wiped and a new profile picture, fans had already started speculating about a new era for Dua Lipa. The highly anticipated follow-up to her 2020 album ‘Future Nostalgia’ has been in the works for some time. Dua Lipa initially mentioned to Elton John that it was “50 per cent done” in March last year, but later clarified her progress. In an interview with New York Times Magazine this year, she confirmed that the album is set to release in 2024, offering fans something to look forward to.

Rumours of a collaboration with Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker also surfaced, hinting at a potential sonic shift. Dua mentioned that her third album is still pop but with a different sonic approach and a strong lyrical theme. The title, once revealed, is expected to tie everything together, but fans will have to wait for that revelation.

And it’s not just fans who are excited about Dua Lipa’s upcoming work. Her Barbie collaborator Mark Ronson has had a sneak peek and described the new album as “incredible.” With all this excitement building up, the question is, are you ready to join Dua Lipa on this new musical journey?
