Ed Sheeran Collaborates With Antytila on a Revised Version of ‘2Step’

Ed Sheeran has remixed his song ‘2Step,’ which now includes a new verse from Antytila, a Ukrainian band. Antytila featured in the video for ‘2Step,’ which they also directed and produced.

Royalties from the official video’s YouTube streaming will be donated to Music Saves UA, a non-profit fundraising operation run by the Ukrainian Association of Music Events, to provide immediate humanitarian assistance to individuals in need in Ukraine.

Take a look below:

Antytila contacted the artist earlier this year, asking if they might play at the ‘Concert For Ukraine’ remotely. The event’s organisers declined because the event can only focus on the humanitarian issue and the band is now fighting Russians in Kyiv, Ukraine’s capital, but Sheeran did say he would listen to their music. Antytile released screenshots of talks they had with Sheeran ahead of the release of their duet.

‘2Step’ was first released on Sheeran’s 2021 album ‘=,’ and a revamped version starring Lil Baby was released earlier this month, along with a music video shot in Kyiv.

He said that he filmed the video for ‘2step’ in the city of Kyiv, Ukraine before the tragic acts of violence began to take place. It was his first visit to the country, and everyone from the production staff to the many people he met on his days off made him feel quite welcome.

He added that he was grateful to have had the opportunity to film the video in Ukraine because it is a proud and resilient country. He supports Ukraine, and will donate his record profits from the video’s YouTube streams to the DEC’s Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.

According to a press release, Sheeran will collaborate with a slew of artists from around the world on new remixes of ‘2step.’
