Ed Sheeran Serenades Runner During Canal Video Shoot

A fan in the UK had a once-in-a-lifetime moment while out on a run when Ed Sheeran gave her a personal mini-concert. 

The unexpected encounter was captured in a video shared on social media, showing the singer floating down a canal on a boat while filming.

As the fan jogged alongside the canal, she called out to Sheeran, asking, "Can you do 'Tenerife Sea'?" 

Without hesitation, the singer started playing the song on his acoustic guitar. The runner slowed her pace, recording the impromptu serenade on her phone as Sheeran performed the request.

Once he finished singing, Sheeran waved goodbye and cheerfully said, "Have a good rest of your run," sending the lucky fan off with a smile. Sheeran later posted the footage on his social media, captioning it, "Was filming a video on the canal today, played a request. If anyone knows the runner lemme know so we can have their POV video for the lols."

Not long after his post, the runner, identified as Nikki Atkins through her Instagram profile, shared her point of view of the memorable encounter on her Instagram Stories. Her account has since been set to private.

Atkins expressed her gratitude by writing, "@teddysphotos This was so unexpected and so so beautiful. Thank you thank you 🙏." The spontaneous performance created a unique and heartwarming moment for both Sheeran and his fan.
