Elton John's Rise And Fall Captured in New Documentary Trailer

Elton John, a legendary EGOT winner, has had a career spanning over five decades, making him one of the most influential musicians of all time. Capturing this iconic journey in just over two minutes, the trailer for ‘Elton John: Never Too Late’, a new Disney+ documentary, gives fans a glimpse into his extraordinary life.

The documentary delves into John's early years, beginning with his childhood when he recalls, "My life was all-consumed by music." It quickly transitions to his rise to fame in the 1970s, where he became "the most famous pop star in the world." The trailer also highlights John's personal battles, including his struggles with addiction and his journey of coming to terms with his sexuality, as well as his current role as a loving husband and father.

Reflecting on his darkest times, John candidly shares in the trailer, "There was an emptiness within me. My soul had gone dark. I'd gone dark." He admits, "I couldn't have anything apart from my success and my drugs." These challenges eventually led to his realisation that true happiness comes from family, stating, "Family was more important than anything."

Directed by his husband David Furnish alongside R.J. Cutler, ‘Elton John: Never Too Late’ tells John's story using his final performance at Dodger Stadium as a central theme. This emotional moment marked the end of his ‘Farewell Yellow Brick Road’ tour, and the documentary takes fans behind the scenes of his journey leading up to this historic event.

John also reflects on a suicide attempt, revealing, "I took a bunch of tablets. I thought I was going to drown." This, along with his struggles with his sexuality, is explored in depth. "I didn’t know I was gay.

If people were gay, they were in the closet," he admits, shedding light on the challenges he faced during that time. The trailer offers a powerful look at Elton John's life, touching on both his incredible achievements and personal battles.
