‘Emily in Paris’ Makeup Artist Unveils Lily Collins’ Stunning Look for Season 4

In Season 4 of ‘Emily in Paris’, Lily Collins, who stars as Emily, showcases a fresh beauty look. Known for its bold fashion choices, the show is shifting to a more natural aesthetic this season. According to Aurélie Payen, the lead makeup artist, Collins requested a “French vibe” for her character, leading to a simpler, more understated makeup style. This season, Emily often sports minimal makeup, embracing a fresh and natural appearance.

Collins’ new look contrasts sharply with the more elaborate styles of previous seasons. To maintain her complexion during long filming days, which last 12 to 14 hours, Collins follows a rigorous skincare routine. On the show, Emily uses the Foreo Luna 4 Mini, a $199 skincare device.

Maintaining healthy skin is crucial given the demanding filming schedule. Payen provides the cast with various skincare products, including The Cream from Brad Pitt’s Beau Domaine collection. Priced at $242 but often available for $161, this product is one of Payen’s top recommendations for youthful skin. Payen ensures each character has access to her favourite beauty products, including a “great double cleansing” gadget she personally uses.

Collins’ brows are a significant focus, receiving meticulous attention from Payen. To perfect them, Payen uses products like Benefit’s brow filler. She suggests using setting gels to achieve a natural and polished look. Both the Charlotte Tilbury Brow Fix Brow Gel ($26) and Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Gel ($27) are recommended for keeping brows in place while maintaining a well-groomed appearance.

One of the most elaborate looks of the season includes a “wet look” for a beach party scene, featuring sleek, wet-look hair and vibrant green eyeshadow reminiscent of the 1980s. Payen carefully applied Myricks’ clear lip gloss to ensure the eye makeup remained flawless throughout the shoot, waiting until the director called “action” to apply it. This meticulous technique contributed to a striking final look.
