Emma Stone Owns the 2025 Oscars Red Carpet with Her Pixie Cut

Emma Stone’s return to the red carpet was stunning, drawing attention with her usual glitz.
The 36-year-old actress wore a gorgeous custom Louis Vuitton gown to the 2025 Oscars. Her sleeveless dress, styled by Petra Flannery, added a touch of elegance with its deep neckline and glittering sequins. Bold stud earrings, which added to the sparkle of her costume, completed the look.
Stone kept showing off her stylish pixie cut, which she debuted at the Golden Globes. The actress’ appearance was influenced by the 1920s, according to celebrity colourist Tracey Cunningham, who collaborated with Schwarzkopf Professional to get her deep “nutmeg” tint.
Alongside Hollywood heavyweights, Robert Downey Jr., Cillian Murphy, Oprah Winfrey, and Ana de Armas, Stone, a previous Oscar winner for ‘Poor Things’, presented the ceremony this year.
‘Emilia Pérez’ received 13 nominations, the most ever for a non-English language film, making the 2025 Oscars historic as well. With ten nominations apiece, ‘Wicked’ and ‘The Brutalist’ were closely behind.

Two nominations were also given to Stone’s produced feature, ‘A Real Pain’. When he won Best Screenplay at the 40th Film Independent Spirit Awards, director Jesse Eisenberg gave Stone a touching shout-out. He talked about how Stone had encouraged his work over the years and even sent him letters about his best lines, recalling their friendship from ‘Zombieland’ in 2009.
Throughout the season, the actress has consistently made daring fashion choices. A whimsical and memorable choice, she wore a custom Louis Vuitton red gown with popcorn-filled pockets when she and her husband, veteran SNL writer Dave McCary, arrived at ‘SNL50: The Anniversary Special’ in February.

Fans speculated that Stone got the dramatic hairstyle for her part in Yorgos Lanthimos’ upcoming movie ‘Bugonia’ after she debuted it at the Golden Globes in January. She kept her makeup simple so that her new hairstyle could take centre stage, and she accessorized it with a red gown that was tied at the waist with a silk tie.
In 2024, she promoted ‘Kinds of Kindness’ and maintained her supremacy on the red carpet. She looked stunning at the Cannes Film Festival wearing a custom Louis Vuitton gown with burgundy sequins, a plunging neckline, and a dramatic ruffle train. She completed the look with matching satin sandals and high jewellery from Louis Vuitton.
