“Fake It Flowers” By Beabadoobee: Review

On October 16, 2020, Beabadoobee released her debut album. The record titled “Fake It Flowers” is the first by Filipino-British singer and songwriter. The album was released under British independent label Dirty Hit. 

Details On The Album:

Compared to hit ‘Coffee For Your Head’ this record has a more alternative rock theme to it. A majority of the records are very guitar-driven and have a total of 12 songs on it. Beabadoobee announced the album on 15 July 2020 with the release of the lead single “Care.”

Beabadoobee followed the single up with the release of “Sorry” alongside its music video on 5 August 2020. The singer carried on to release a string of three more singles. She then released “Worth It” and “How Was Your Day?” She capped it off with the release of “Together” as the fifth and final single on 13 October 2020.

Each of the tracks will take you on an emotional roller coaster of intense feelings and emotions. In an interview, Beabadoobee said, “Fake It Flowers” is pretty much my whole life in one album”.

When asked about what the name means, Beabadoobee said: “I recorded my demos on my phone, and for some reason, they all saved as ‘Fake It Flowers’, and I was like, ‘Oh! That’s a cool name!’ So I figured I may as well just call the album that!”

From empowering lyrics on her battles with self-harm and childhood trauma to her romantic relationship with her boyfriend this brand new record has it all.

Beabadoobee has announced her plans to of a tour for her album. The first leg of her headlining tour of the United Kingdom and Ireland to support the album is slated to begin in Manchester on September 7, 2021. All we can say is that we can’t wait!
