First Look: Jason Statham Locked and Loaded in Action-Packed ‘Mutiny’ Image
Although the official release date for Jason Statham’s film ‘Mutiny’ is still pending, Lionsgate has released a preview of Statham’s character, Cole Reed. Jason Wong, who worked with director Guy Ritchie on ‘Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves’, was just added to the production. Wong will portray Taran, Statham’s devoted ally in ‘Mutiny’.
Statham is shown in the recently revealed photo standing against a wall with his rifle raised, wearing a denim jacket, and looking solemn. Jean-François Richet, known for directing Gerard Butler’s 2023 action thriller ‘Plane’, is directing this movie. In addition to Statham producing under his Punch Palace Productions banner and Marc Butan co-producing through MadRiver Pictures, Lindsay Michel and J.P. Davis wrote the screenplay. This fall, Mutiny’s principal photography got underway in the United Kingdom.

The narrative of the movie revolves around Statham’s character, who is forced to escape and expose a global conspiracy after being falsely accused of killing his rich industrialist boss. Although her character is yet unknown, Annabelle Wallis, an actress from ‘Peaky Blinders’, joined the cast in September. Statham has established himself as a mainstay of the genre thanks to his three decades of action-packed roles in films like ‘The Fast & Furious’ trilogy, ‘The Expendables’, and ‘The Transporter’ series.
Statham starred in ‘The Beekeeper’, which received a 71% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes earlier in 2023. He plays a former special agent turned beekeeper in the movie, whose peaceful existence is upended by a terrible swindle. He will work with ‘Expendables’ co-star Sylvester Stallone again on his upcoming production, ‘Levon’s Trade’, which is directed by David Ayer.
Although the release date for ‘Mutiny’ has not yet been confirmed.
