A premiere date for the upcoming Fleetwood Mac documentary has yet to be confirmed, but it will be available on Apple TV+ once released. According to Apple’s announcement, the documentary has been “fully authorised” by the band and will mark the first time the group shares their story in their own words.
The film will feature new interviews with the surviving members of Fleetwood Mac, along with previously unseen footage and archival interviews with the late Christine McVie. Apple’s description of the documentary highlights how the band’s resilience, personal struggles, and musical talent helped them create timeless hits. It will explore the band’s journey, detailing both their triumphs and challenges, and offer insights into the unique chemistry among the members that contributed to their global success, with over 220 million records sold worldwide.
The documentary will also focus on what enabled the band to consistently produce iconic music and what kept them together despite numerous pressures, both internal and external, that nearly tore them apart.

This announcement follows the creation of official Fleetwood Mac social media accounts, which sparked fan speculation about new developments from the band. Earlier in the year, Stevie Nicks expressed that there was “no chance of putting Fleetwood Mac back together” without McVie, who passed away in 2022 at the age of 79. She explained that the band couldn’t function without McVie, describing her as both her “best friend” and “musical soul mate.” Nicks stated that after McVie’s death, she realized there was no reason for the band to continue.
Additionally, Nicks reflected on her complex relationship with former bandmate Lindsey Buckingham, revealing that she had given him “more than 300 million chances” over the years.
In 2024, Nicks performed solo concerts in London, Manchester, Dublin, and Glasgow, where she was joined by Harry Styles for a headline show at BST Hyde Park.
