Florence Pugh Joins Sebastian Stan and David Harbour in Marvel's Thrilling 'Thunderbolts' Trailer

Florence Pugh is set to lead Marvel's upcoming superhero ensemble in the highly anticipated ‘Thunderbolts’. On 23rd September, Marvel Studios unveiled the first teaser, featuring Pugh, 28, alongside David Harbour, who reprises his role as Alexei Shostakov from ‘Black Widow’. The film sees Yelena Belova (Pugh) return to her adoptive father, Alexei, grappling with feelings of depression after the events of ‘Black Widow’ and ‘Hawkeye’.

Set to the Pixies' iconic track ‘Where Is My Mind?’ from 1988, the teaser introduces the film's diverse cast, which includes John Walker (Wyatt Russell), Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko), and Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen). Each character is depicted as being at a standstill in their life. The trailer also offers a glimpse of Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, who seems to be assembling this unconventional team.

The official synopsis describes ‘Thunderbolts’ as an "irreverent team-up" featuring a group of misfits, led by the troubled assassin Yelena Belova. Sebastian Stan returns as Bucky Barnes, rounding out the eclectic cast. Marvel first announced the film's development in 2022, with the cast revealed at the D23 Expo, generating significant buzz among fans.

During their presentation at San Diego Comic-Con, Pugh expressed excitement about the team dynamics, noting that these former villains "don’t play well together." Harbour added that their relationship explores various complexities, combining warmth, humour, and his character's narcissism with Yelena's deadly dedication.
