Florence Pugh recently opened up about the physical and emotional challenges she faced after shaving her head for her role as Almut in the romantic drama ‘We Live in Time’.

In a candid interview, Pugh shared her reflections on the experience, explaining that shaving her head was "always a no-brainer" for a character like Almut. She described the transformation as an "honour" and noted the importance of physically embracing such a significant change to connect with her character's struggles.

The ‘Oppenheimer’ star also revealed that losing her hair was a deeply personal experience, as it coincided with her own life decisions. Her co-star Andrew Garfield, who helped shave her head, described the moment as a "privilege", further underscoring the weight of the scene.

Pugh also touched on the significance of hair in various cultures and religions, where it is seen as a symbol of memories and dreams. She admitted that the experience left her feeling vulnerable, with her head becoming highly sensitive, and others' curiosity about touching it making her acutely aware of the change.

Reflecting on the physical toll, Pugh noted that her body reacted to the sudden loss, saying, "My body went into a bit of trauma. I was cold all the time." Despite the challenges, she viewed the transformation as a crucial part of her commitment to the role.
