Freakier Friday First Look: Lindsay Lohan And Jamie Lee Curtis Recreate Iconic Screams!

Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis are set to delight fans with a surprise announcement regarding their upcoming film, ‘Freakier Friday’, a sequel to the beloved 2003 comedy, ‘Freaky Friday’. Recently, Walt Disney Studios unveiled a new promotional photo, featuring the duo striking their iconic screaming pose as mother and daughter, Anna and Tess Coleman, who famously switch bodies overnight.

The excitement surrounding ‘Freakier Friday’ has been palpable since Disney confirmed its production, ending years of speculation about a sequel. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on August 8, 2025, as revealed in the studio’s recent social media post, captioned with a playful, “TGIF. 😱 😱 #FreakierFriday arrives in theatres August 8, 2025.”

In an interview earlier this year, Lohan shared that the new film was “in the process,” and production wrapped up recently. Both actresses celebrated their reunion on social media, with Lohan expressing her gratitude for the entire cast and crew.

“It’s our last Monday on the set of #freakierfriday and my heart is so full,” she stated, highlighting the dedication everyone put into the project. She also praised Curtis, calling her “a dear friend” who brings joy to the set every day.

While details about the film’s plot remain under wraps, many actors from the original ‘Freaky Friday’ are set to return, including Mark Harmon, Chad Michael Murray, and Christina Vidal Mitchell. New faces, such as Julia Butters and Manny Jacinto, will join the cast, with Jacinto portraying Lohan’s character’s husband.

Fans eagerly await what promises to be a heartwarming and humorous continuation of the classic story, blending nostalgia with fresh talent. As anticipation builds, Lohan and Curtis remain at the forefront, ready to deliver another unforgettable performance.
