Gal Gadot’s Evil Queen Confronts the Magic Mirror in New ‘Snow White’ Image

Remaking great animated films in live-action has been one of Hollywood’s major themes in recent years. With films like ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ and the impending live-action versions of ‘Lilo & Stitch’ and ‘How to Train Your Dragon’, which will be released next year, this trend started with ‘The Lion King’ (2019). ‘Snow White’, a live-action adaptation of another classic animated movie, ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’, will be released in theatres in March. Gal Gadot’s Evil Queen is seen in front of a mirror in an exclusive new movie still, most likely in her frightening hideout.

In the remake, Rachel Zegler, who starred as Maria in Steven Spielberg’s ‘West Side Story’ (2021), plays Snow White. Zegler also starred in ‘The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes’ and ‘Shazam: Fury of the Gods’. She will also co-star with Jaeden Martell in the horror-comedy ‘Y2K’. Additionally, Colin Michael Carmichael, Ansu Kabia, Andrew Burnap, and Patrick Page play a variety of roles in the film.

Marc Webb, known for his work on ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ movies and episodes of ‘The Office’ and ‘Gifted’, will helm ‘Snow White’. The script was written by Erin Cressida Wilson and Greta Gerwig. Gerwig is most known for her work on the successful 2023 live-action movie ‘Barbie’, which brought in over $1.4 billion worldwide.

On 21st March 2025, the live-action ‘Snow White’ is scheduled to debut in theatres. ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ original animated adaptation is also available to fans on Disney+.
