‘Game of Thrones’ Star Joins Bob Odenkirk for Exciting New Action Movie Collaboration
Known for her legendary role as Cersei Lannister in ‘Game of Thrones’, Lena Headey is collaborating with ‘Better Call Saul’s’ Bob Odenkirk on a new action thriller called ‘Normal’. The picture, which was directed by Ben Wheatley, who has directed movies like ‘Free Fire’ and ‘Kill List’, also stars Henry Winkler, who gives the cast a surprising twist. This movie also has the same production team that worked on the 2021 blockbuster Nobody, in which Odenkirk played a prominent action part. Derek Kolstad, the man behind the ‘John Wick’ series, wrote the screenplay.
Odenkirk plays Ulysses in ‘Normal’, a movie about an unlikely hero who ends up serving as a stand-in sheriff in the otherwise peaceful town of Normal, Minnesota. Ulysses finds a web of secrets that extends beyond the initial crime, revealing darker forces lurking beneath the town’s idyllic façade, following a bank robbery that rocks the population. Winkler portrays the mayor, while Headey plays Moira, a local bartender who has plenty of experience handling the town’s problems.

Filming began in Winnipeg, Canada, and will continue until December. The cast includes Peter Shinkoda, Jess McLeod, Ryan Allen, Brendan Fletcher, and Billy MacLellan. The producers wanted to create something unexpected, so they were thrilled to have Wheatley on board and praised his command of the genre. They were also excited about the brilliant cast.
Odenkirk is most known for his pivotal role as Saul Goodman in ‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘Better Call Saul,’ while Headey has garnered recognition for her challenging performances in ‘Game of Thrones,’ ‘300,’ and as Sarah Connor in ‘The Sarah Connor Chronicles.’ In addition to his work in the Emmy-winning series Barry, Winkler is renowned for his portrayal of Arthur Fonzarelli in the beloved sitcom ‘Happy Days.’
