Gladys Knight and Patti LaBelle are going to be the upcoming artists in the Verzuz battle. The two have collaborated on a number of songs together, like ‘Superwoman’. But this time, they’re going to be against each other.

The Verzuz battle of Gladys Knight and LaBelle will air on September 13, 2020, which is a Sunday at 8 p.m EST. “Y’all gotta get dressed up in ya Sunday’s best for this classic affair,” read the announcement.

The Verzuz battles usually don’t bring in guests of such old generations, however this time, they’ve made an exception for these two legends. We can only wait to see how the battle is going to turn out.

Gladys Knight is famously known as ‘Emperess of Soul’. She is a seven-time Grammy Award-winner along with having six albums to reach the top on charts. Some of her hits include, ‘Midnight Train to Georgia’, ‘That’s What Friends Are For’ and more.

Patti LaBelle began her music career in the 1960s and was the lead singer of the group, Patti LaBelle and the Bluebells. Her hits include tracks like ‘Lady Marmalade’, ‘On My Own’ and more.

Fans are speculating that Gladys Knight and Patti LaBelle will be performing their hits and also, their collaborations, not as friends but frenemies in the Verzuz Battle. Honestly, we can’t wait for this one!
