Grammy Agrees to Ariana Grande

With the Grammy’s drawing closer and closer, we’re getting more clues on the artists that are going to take the stage! And it looks like Ariana Grande has been added to the list of A-list performers. The announcement was made over the weekend and without missing a beat, Grande tweeted, “see you jan 26 ##GRAMMYs @CBS @RecordingAcad,”

Oh, and there’s more good news…Grande has also been nominated in a whopping five categories this year, including album of the year for ‘Thank You, Next’. It’ll be quite a treat to watch her return to the stage, especially after she decided not to perform or attend the event last year, after a dispute with the show’s producers.

According to sources, last year Grande had felt “insulted” after producers initially refused to allow her to perform “7 Rings,” from her album “Thank U, Next”. A compromise was reached whereby “7 Rings” would be part of a medley, but Grande pulled out after the producers insisted that the second song be of their choosing. Her actions are completely justified, considering that producers should not be imposing so many restrictions on artists, especially when these songs are entirely theirs, they should be allowed to pick what they want to perform.

Other stellar acts to look forward to include Billie Eilish and Lizzo, who will make their debut on the Grammy stage, and a first-time collaborative performance by couple Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani.

Anyway, we’ll keep our fingers crossed in the hopes that this year’s Grammy’s go smoothly without any hiccups!
