Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong Collaborates With Marshall to Release New 70-Hour ANC Headphones

Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong has partnered with Marshall to launch the new Monitor III A.N.C. wireless headphones. These headphones offer an impressive 70 hours of active noise-cancelling playback and 100 hours without ANC, allowing for extended, uninterrupted listening.

Armstrong, known for his use of Marshall’s JCM900 and Plexi 1959SLP amps throughout his career—particularly the ‘Dookie Mod’ Plexi 1959SLP that helped shape Green Day’s iconic debut album Dookie—leads Marshall’s latest campaign. The campaign emphasizes finding harmony amidst chaos and celebrates music as a unifying force.

In the ad for the Monitor III A.N.C. headphones, Armstrong is seen wearing them while sipping from a mug featuring the pink bunny from Green Day’s Revolution Radio, before heading outside.

“The world well, it’s sort of chaos,” the legendary rocker says in a voiceover. “It’s easy to get lost in the midst of all of that. But things have a way of falling into place. But-hey? what do I know?” As he walks through the street, a flurry of rowdiness erupts with things exploding, people running and items crashing. Eagle-eyed fans will discover memorable Easter eggs sprinkled throughout the clip that are linked to Armstrong’s music career and the Marshall brand.

Speaking about the brand and the new headphones in a press release, the frontman shared: “If you know anything about me then you know that for me, the music never turns off. Whether it’s a stadium or a club, a pub or a subway, rock ’n’ roll is not just something I do, I live it… all the time.

“Marshall is and has been one of my loudest co-pilots along the way – from the stage and now, to the street. What better way to flip off the world than to put your headphones on so it’s just you, and the music.”

The Monitor III A.N.C. headphones are available for purchase at Marshall.com and select retailers for £299 ($345). In other news, there’s speculation that Green Day may headline Download Festival next year.

The band recently announced performances at the Hurricane and Southside festivals in Germany from 20th June to 22nd June, sharing the stage with big names like Biffy Clyro, Yellowcard, Wet Leg, and Amyl & The Sniffers.

Additionally, during Green Day’s Saviours tour this year, the band performed in Manchester, Glasgow, and London, as well as headlining the Isle of Wight Festival. Celebrating the 30th and 20th anniversaries of their iconic albums Dookie and American Idiot, respectively, they played both albums in full, alongside tracks from their latest release, Saviors, which came out in January.
