Grimes And Lil Uzi Vert Plan To Get ‘Brain Chips’
Lil Uzi Vert is not done putting things inside his head. And this time he has a friend hopping on the bandwagon, musician Grimes.
The rapper recently posted on social media after he went through with the procedure of piercing his forehead with a rare pink diamond. It appears he he really gets a kick out of pushing the limits with his body.

Grimes and Lil Uzi struck up a conversation on Twitter, where the two claimed they were both ready to get brain chips inserted in their heads, and that they should do it together. Friendship goals, right?
On February 6th, Lil Uzi simply tweeted out “NEURALINK” along with a bat and diamond emoji. This was an obvious reference to Elon Musk‘s ‘Neuralink’ introduced in 2019, that connects the human brain to the devices around it.
On the ‘Neuralink’ website “We’re designing the first neural implant that will let you control a computer or mobile device anywhere you go. Micron-scale threads are inserted into areas of the brain that control movement. Each thread contains many electrodes and connects them to an implant, the Link.”
As if that didn’t already sound alarmingly Black Mirror-esque, the site also the site also states that engineers will have to create a robot so surgeons can implant the device precisely.
Just Two Friends Making Casual Plans To Hang Out
Singer and Elon Musk’s girlfriend Grimes said in response to Lil Uzi’s tweet, “Let’s get brain chips,” to which he responded, “I’m ready when we doing it?”
Grimes said in a follow-up tweet that the two should aim for 2022 and made sure to note that “it’s experimental surgery but if it succeeds we’ll have the knowledge of the Gods haha,” and Lil Uzi was on board as of February 7th.
Grimes responded saying she would call the rapper to discuss it, the next day. Wonder if they actually did it?
According to sources, Neuralink has only been tests on animals as of now, including a monkey that apparently has been able to play video games using its brain after it underwent the procedure.
Looks like Grimes and Lil Uzi will go down in history for being the first few humans to undergo the experiment. Yay for them?
