Hailee Steinfeld and Niall Horan go From Kissing to Dissing

Hailee Steinfeld has been hinting at a diss track about her ex, Niall Horan, and it looks like this one’s going to drop any minute. But, as far as songs about exes go, this thankfully, might turn out to be gentler one.

Steinfeld dated the One Direction superstar for just over a year, before both of them went their separate ways in 2018. Now, she’s pulled a Taylor Swift by coming out with a track called, wait for it… ‘Wrong Direction’. Nope, this isn’t a joke. In her latest social media post, Hailee shared a picture of some smudged writing on a piece of paper, reading: ‘Wrong direction.’

‘Oop the shade,’ wrote one fan. Another chimed in: ‘Niall honey, I’m so sorry but I’m excited!’

While this song may give an insight into what went wrong in their relationship, the Irish artist isn’t holding it against her, because after all, it’s a life experience like any other. So, nothing wrong in writing about it. Well, that’s actually quite refreshing to hear!

“Niall is not losing any sleep over Hailee’s upcoming single. He knows the name of the game when it comes to music and these type of songs will happen from time to time. You have to write about what you know, whether it is heartache and heartbreak or the love of your life. This sort of thing is going to happen all the time and Niall is totally cool with whatever she has to do for her career, even if it ends up bashing him,” sources said.

While Hailee hasn’t confirmed whether or not the track is about Niall, the title seems to speak for itself. She took to Instagram on Dec. 29th to post a photo that showed the name of the song and used the caption to announce the release date. “1/1,”
