Halle Bailey Stuns at 2025 Met Gala in Chic Mini-Suit Dress and Black Beaded Veil
Halle Bailey made a spectacular comeback to the 2025 Met Gala. She wore a glittering, fitted minidress that aptly reflected the evening’s theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” At the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, the ‘Little Mermaid’ actress attracted attention by wearing a dramatic black beaded veil that hung over her face and a two-toned Coach outfit with shimmering stripes.
In addition to its structure, her dress suit’s elaborate jewelled decorations, which replaced the typical stripes, made it stand out. It was navy blue and white with pinstripes. She thoroughly embraced the night’s fashion-forward vibe by accessorising the glitzy ensemble with eye-catching accessories and sparkly stiletto heels. Bailey had a great 2025 Met Gala look.

The museum’s spring exhibition, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”, is being celebrated at the 2025 Met Gala, which is co-chaired by Colman Domingo, Pharrell Williams, A$AP Rocky, Lewis Hamilton, and Anna Wintour. The display charts the influence of Black dandyism from the 18th century to the present, examining its function as a cultural and identity marker and drawing inspiration from Monica L. Miller’s book ‘Slaves to Fashion’.
In keeping with the exhibition’s theme, “Tailored for You,” the dress code highlighted modern interpretations of suits and menswear.
Although Halle Bailey did not attend the 2024 Met Gala, she made a stunning debut in 2023 when she wore a gorgeous white Gucci gown with flowers and a short, curly hairstyle. She also appeared with Elle Fanning and Maya Hawke in a now-famous mirror picture taken by Billie Eilish that evening, providing a behind-the-scenes look at the most exclusive night in fashion.
