Halle Berry Shares Disappointing Update on Her Future in Superhero Films

After Wesley Snipes' return as Blade in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ sparked interest in seeing classic actors reprise their iconic superhero roles, many fans hoped Halle Berry might follow suit. Berry, who played both Catwoman and Storm, was rumoured to possibly return as Storm in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’, but that speculation didn’t pan out. It’s now been 10 years since she last portrayed Storm in ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ and 20 years since she appeared as Catwoman.

In a recent interview with Comicbook.com while promoting her new film ‘Never Let Go’, Berry was asked which of her previous characters she’d like to revisit. She responded, “This one. I stay in the present... some of those things have gone by, and I don’t know if you can go back to things like that.” Her diplomatic answer suggests that she’s focused on current projects rather than reviving past roles.

Given past instances where actors, like Andrew Garfield, denied involvement in certain projects only to make surprise returns, some fans might think Berry is intentionally downplaying the possibility of a comeback. However, it’s equally likely that she’s ready to move forward with new roles and leave her superhero days behind.

Berry recently starred alongside Mark Wahlberg in ‘The Union’, which was a top Netflix hit, and appeared in ‘Moonfall’ with Patrick Wilson. She also had a memorable role in ‘John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum’, which grossed over $325 million globally. Her next appearance will be in ‘Never Let Go’, but for now, fans shouldn't expect her to reprise Storm or Catwoman anytime soon.
