Halle Berry Shares How She Plans to Celebrate Her 58th Birthday by ‘Fighting for All Women’
Halle Berry is dedicating her upcoming 58th birthday to championing women’s health. The 57-year-old actress revealed in an interview with Extra TV that she plans to spend her special day advocating for a new bill aimed at increasing public awareness of menopause and providing training and resources for healthcare providers.
Berry will be in West Virginia alongside Senator Shelley Capito, working on the Advancing Menopause Care and Mid-Life Women’s Health Act, which was introduced in May. She expressed that this cause is deeply personal to her, as she knew very little about menopause when she experienced it herself. “I can’t think of a better way to spend my birthday than fighting for all women,” she shared, emphasizing her passion for this important issue.

Reflecting on her journey, Berry recounted how she discovered she was in perimenopause about four years ago and was shocked by her lack of knowledge on the subject. “If I knew so little about it, millions of other women must not know anything either,” she said, noting that this realization fueled her desire to help others. She considers this advocacy work her “second act” and is determined to make a difference in women’s healthcare during this crucial time in their lives.
Berry has been vocal about her mission to “destigmatize” menopause and eliminate the shame often associated with it. Her efforts have earned her a place on Time’s 100 Health list, and she expressed on Instagram that she takes this work seriously, doing it for women who feel uninformed or marginalized because of their stage in life.

In addition to her advocacy, Berry recently shared that she adopted two kittens named “Boots” and “Coco,” despite being a lifelong dog lover. This new chapter in her life, along with the experience of rescuing four kittens, has deepened her connection to her iconic role as Catwoman.
Berry also celebrated the premiere of her Netflix action-comedy film ‘The Union’ alongside Mark Wahlberg where she dazzled in a black, sheer one-piece dress with floral accents. The film is set to release on 16th August.
