Halsey Discusses Her Upcoming Album, ‘Manic’

It’s been a big year for Halsey, especially after all the feminist rage she poured into her single, ‘Nightmare,’ along with her recent release ‘Graveyard’.

On top of it all, she announced that her third album, ‘Manic’, would be arriving next year, on January 17th. Speaking about the album, she said, “This album is a very, very personal conversation, I think I feel more comfortable and have more agency to say to the world, ‘This is the real me,’ and hopefully, the world is forgiving enough to let me evolve and let me change, so that I get to show you guys a new version of me every couple of years.”

The singer also explained how Manic quickly turned from an intention to make an “angry album” into something quite the opposite. She tried to channel all her anger into the album, but it just wasn’t true to what she was feeling at the time. “I sat down to make a list of things I didn’t like about myself because I thought it would help me make an angry album, after writing it, I couldn’t find any anger at myself, I just found forgiveness and acceptance,” Halsey said.

Well, it looks like ‘Manic’ falls under the large umbrella of things to look forward to in 2020!
