Halsey Pulls out of Singapore Festival performance

Halsey pulls off the Singapore neon lights music festival. The festival which was being held on the 23 and 24 of November was set to host Halsey as a headlining slot on its second night. The festival attendees were informed of this sudden change via an Instagram story that said “We regret to inform you that Halsey will not be performing on November 24 due to unforeseen circumstances”. Fans were graciously granted a refund for their tickets even though a replacement act was being set up.

Other acts of Neon lights will perform as scheduled. These include English folk rockers Mumford & Sons, English electro-R&B duo Honne and English electronic producer Mura Masa on the first night and Australian singer and electronic music artist Nick Murphy, formerly known as Chet Faker, and Norwegian electro-pop singer Aurora on the second night.

Halsey was also due to perform at Hong Kong’s now cancelled Clockenflap music festival. It was originally scheduled from Nov 22 to 24 but was cancelled due to the escalating political tensions in the city.

Fan interactions on twitter concluded that this move was a due a pregnancy claim. Halsey quickly dismissed these claims through an Instagram post captioned “Still not pregnant. Still just allergic to gluten. Still love pancakes,” she wrote, before adding: “Is it a boy? Is it a girl? It’s pancakes.” The post showed her tummy being stroked by her boyfriend .

Halsey was also one of the major league artists who were left out of the 2020 Grammy nominations list. She said that she was “deeply disappointed” and disturbed due to the nomination committee’s decision to ignore her work.
