Halsey Reveals ‘The Great Impersonator’ Album Tracklist for Upcoming Release

Halsey has unveiled the complete tracklist for her upcoming fifth studio album, The Great Impersonator. On 25th September, the singer-songwriter shared a new video on social media, where a deck of playing cards is manipulated through magic and illusions to reveal the titles of the album’s 18 tracks.

The album will feature previously released singles such as ‘Ego,’ ‘The End,’ ‘Lonely is The Muse’ and ‘Lucky’. Additionally, it includes three different versions of the track ‘Letter To God,’ titled according to the years 1974, 1983, and 1998, though it remains unclear if these are full-length songs or interludes.

Set for release on 25th October, the album kicks off with ‘Only Living Girl in LA’ and includes other songs like ‘I Never Loved You,’ ‘Arsonist,’ and the title track, ‘The Great Impersonator,’ which also serves as the album’s closing track.

The tracklist for Halsey’s ‘The Great Impersonator’ is:

02. ‘Ego’
03. ‘Dog Years’
04. ‘Letter to God (1974)’

The Great Impersonator will be Halsey’s fifth studio album, following 2021’s If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power. In June, she released the album’s lead single, ‘The End,’ which reflects her experience of being diagnosed with Lupus SLE and a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder in 2022.

A month later, Halsey dropped the Britney Spears-sampling track ‘Lucky,’ followed by ‘Lonely is The Muse’ more recently. She also debuted a new song titled ‘Ego’ during an intimate show in London this summer.

Halsey has hinted that the new album will be “all over the place” and full of “experimentation,” while also sharing the “complex emotions” she experienced after suffering a miscarriage during a concert in 2015.
