It’s been 98 years since electronic television was invented by a 21 year old American inventor, Philo Farnsworth. Today we celebrate the 23rd World Television day .So let’s get cosy and trace back to our all time favourite TV shows

The Flintstones: An animated sitcom produced by Hanna Berra was once the most successful and longest running shows after The Simpsons. The series is about the misadventure of the two modern day stone aged families – Flintstones and the Rubble. The series lasted 6 season with its last show broadcasted on 1st April 1996 and grossed over$ 341 million at the box office.

Friends: 25 years since it first premiered on the 22nd of September 1994, the American television series still has a large fan base all over the world. 15 years since it was last broadcasted and HBO are working on a “Friends” reunion, the sitcom series still excites the fans. Friends boasts of 10 seasons grossing over $ 150 million worldwide.

The Big Bang Theory: The show, traced the lives of four socially awkward friends, who turn their life around upon meeting Penny who has the opposite personality. The American sitcom series was first premiered on CBS and last aired on May 16, 2019 with 12 seasons.

Greys Anatomy: Greys Anatomy was aired on ABC in 2015 and has 16 seasons till date and is still on the run. The show revolves around the lives of surgical interns who pursue to become the finest doctors. The show stars Ellen Pompeo, the highest paid actress in Hollywood earning more than $ 20 Million a year.

The Mentalist: The show first premiered in 2008, and it depicts the life of Patrick Jane, an independent consultant for California Bureau of Investigation solving mysterious crimes. The Mentalist broadcasted by CBS has 151 episodes with 7 seasons and last broadcasted on 18th February, 2015.
