Harry Styles’ Record Becomes The Best-Selling Of 2022

Harry Styles has outdone himself. He has achieved a chart double, debuting at No. 1 on both the album and single charts. ‘Harry’s House,’ his third solo album, debuted at No. 1 and is presently the fastest-selling album of 2022.

It’s the first time in 2022 that someone has achieved a chart double, with Ed Sheeran’s album ‘=’ and Elton John’s ‘Merry Christmas’ topping the charts towards the end of last year. This week, Styles’ latest album sold over 113,000 copies, outselling both his 2017 self-titled debut (57,000) and 2019’s ‘Fine Line’ (49,000).

M Huncho’s debut solo album, ‘Chasing Euphoria,’ hit Number Five on the album charts, while Everything Everything’s ‘Raw Data Feel,’ reached Number Four, setting a new career high.

Styles’ track ‘As It Was’ is also at the top of the singles list. This single has now been at No. 1 for the longest time this year. ‘Late Night Talking’ is at Number Two, while ‘Music For A Sushi Restaurant’ is at Number Three, according to other Styles tracks.

Styles played Wet Leg’s ‘Wet Dream’ for BBC Radio 1’s ‘Live Lounge’ earlier this week. The pop star stopped by the BBC studio on 23rd May to perform four songs ahead of his intimate ‘One Night Only’ event at London’s Brixton Academy.

Styles joins the likes of Dave Grohl, Dolly Parton, Elton John, Tom Hardy, and Ed Sheeran in making an appearances on the kids’ show, ‘Bedtime Stories’, he read Jess Hitchman’s In Every House On Every Street (with Lili la Baleine’s drawings), which aired on CBeebies earlier this week (23rd May).
