The actress highlighted her desire to continue exploring this beloved character.

Atwell also praised the collaborative spirit of director Meredith Layne, showrunner Tasha Huo, and the OTT team for their commitment to delivering a meaningful and emotionally resonant project.
Beyond the animated series, Atwell is keen to explore the possibility of playing Lara Croft in live-action. She views the opportunity as an “absolute honour,” one she would approach with utmost seriousness. “She’s always up to date and that’s exciting to me,” the actress added, highlighting her admiration for Lara’s evolving character.
In ‘Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft’, Atwell lent her voice to the titular character, taking over from Camilla Luddington, who portrayed the famed gaming archaeologist in previous games. Showrunner Tasha Huo praised Atwell’s portrayal, noting her fearless spirit and readiness to tackle challenges.
“If you’re jumping out of a plane, Lara, this is sort of what you have to do,” Huo remarked. Atwell’s fearless approach, he noted, often resulted in her saying, “Oh, yeah, I just jumped out of a plane last week, so I got this.” With Atwell’s enthusiasm and dedication, fans can look forward to an exciting future for Lara Croft in upcoming projects.
