‘House of the Dragon’ Star Fabien Frankel Launches Production Company With Brother Max

The ‘House of the Dragon’ star Fabien Frankel has partnered with his brother, Max Mark Frankel, to establish a new film and television production company called MarcelMonique Pictures, according to an exclusive report from The Hollywood Reporter.

Fabien revealed that the two of them have always had a strong affinity through film, remembering how it nourished their childhood friendship and ignited their creativity.  He claimed that launching this artistic endeavour alongside his brother makes him feel immensely gratified.

The name of the business, MarcelMonique, honours their grandparents.  Their move into production holds particular significance for the brothers, as their grandfather’s love of movies was passed down to their mother and then to them.

‘Wife Once’, a music video for the band Memory of Speke, was their debut endeavour under the MarcelMonique name.  It made a spectacular debut, being nominated with Taylor Swift, Lenny Kravitz, Ed Sheeran, and Sabrina Carpenter at the renowned Camerimage Festival.  Their reputation in the field of visual storytelling was further cemented when the video received a nomination for a Berlin Music Video Award.

The brothers are also working on a new music video by the name ‘The Tape Is Chill’ with musician Peter Zummo.  The British fragrance company Penhaligon’s is funding the initiative, which is anticipated to be unveiled later this month.

MarcelMonique Pictures, which is committed to creating top-notch content and fostering up-and-coming talent, is currently working on several short films and a feature script.

Fabien Frankel’s most well-known role was that of Ser Criston Cole in HBO’s ‘House of the Dragon’, in which he co-stars with Olivia Cooke and Emma D’Arcy.  Next summer will see the release of season three of the popular ‘Game of Thrones’ prequel.  His past works are ‘Last Christmas’, Jamie Adams’ ‘Venice at Dawn’, and ‘The Serpent’.

Max Mark Frankel, a producer based in London, has produced several short films, including ‘The Painting & the Statue’ by Freddie Fox, ‘Lag,’ and ‘A Minor Intervention.’ ‘She Dances’, starring Ethan Hawke, Steve Zahn, and Rosemarie DeWitt, and ‘Our Hero Balthazar’, starring Asa Butterfield and Jaeden Martell, are also among his recent credits. Both films are scheduled to have their Tribeca Film Festival debuts this year.
