Election Season Hits the US

The past few weeks have been intense for every American. As the general elections chug on, celebrities have taken unprecedented action for voter mobilisation. They have encouraged fans and the general public to take action and vote.

And, while many have actioned simply for change, many have made their endorsements of particular candidates public. Further, some of the biggest faces in pop culture have publicly taken a stand against the current Trump administration. And, then are those – like 50 Cent – who have endorsed Trump publicly.

50 Cent Wants to Stay a 50

Now, circling back to 50 Cent. The rapper shared a picture of Joe Biden’s proposed tax plans which demarcated a 62% tax rate for the state of New York City, California and New Jersey.

Accompanying the picture was the statement that riled Twitter users right up. 50 Cent wrote, “WHAT THE F*CK (VOTE ForTRUMP). I don’t care Trump doesn’t like black people 62% are you out of ya mind”. Subsequently, his comment section blew up with mixed arguments – some supporting his sentiments, and some vehemently against them.

The 59th United States Presidential Elections, 2020, will take place on the 3rd of November. So, 50 Cent should know his tax fate soon enough.
