‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ Sequel Trailer Revives Iconic Horror Franchise

Officially, the ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ franchise is returning.
Sony Pictures reintroduced the slasher franchise to a new audience recently with the first trailer for the eagerly awaited sequel. Tyriq Withers, Sarah Pidgeon, Madelyn Cline, Jonah Hauer-King, and Chase Sui Wonders are among the new cast members of the most recent movie. Original performers Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr. return to reprise their roles from the 1997 blockbuster, much to the delight of longtime fans.
The plot of the story is well-known but terrifying. Five friends are involved in a fatal accident, and they make the decision to keep the facts to themselves and promise never to discuss it again. However, a year later, they discover that someone is aware of what they did and is determined to hold them accountable, which causes their secret to come to light. They realise that this nightmare has happened before, as the group is singled out one by one. Desperate, they seek help from two survivors of the infamous 1997 Southport Massacre.

Nearly 30 years ago, the original ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ became a pop culture sensation.
Longtime fans will like the new movie’s references and easter eggs, which embrace the nostalgia of the 1990s. The film attempts to provide a novel yet recognisable experience with its gripping narrative and surprising plot twists.
On 18th July, ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ will be back in theatres.
