Indy Yelich, Lorde's younger sister, has revealed that her first song, ‘Threads,’ will be released this week.
Lately, she has published many poetry volumes. The singer recently shared a sneak peek of the track on social media.
She posted the song's artwork and the message, "My debut song 'Threads' is out Thursday, can't wait for you to hear," on Instagram.
“I’ve lived with this song on the subway, driving around blasting it in friends’ cars for a second now,” she added.

While closing off the second North American leg of her 2022 global tour in support of her third album, ‘Solar Power,’ Lorde will also perform at Primavera Sound Los Angeles, ‘Life Is Beautiful’ in Las Vegas and other venues.
In a recent update, Lorde mentioned that she has been "spending long days in a dark room" working on new music.

The remarks followed the New Zealand artist's announcement in June that she was coming closer to creating only bangers once more. Lorde transitioned from the joyful sounds of her album, ‘Melodrama’ (2017), to a more introspective and delicate musical style on last year's 'Solar Power,' her third and most recent album.
“It’s so interesting to me how writing a big, bright pop song has been the thing that’s defined my life,” she explained.
