Internet Has Come To A Halt As “RIP Eminem” Trends

The internet came to a halt when the hashtag “RIP Eminem” started trending on Twitter on August 18, 2020. Of course, it was just a social media hoax and Rap God is alive. But the hashtag made Em’s fans’ heart drop.

Anyone who was online in the afternoon on Twitter could have easily seen the hashtag and freaked out. It all started when a Twitter user posted, “I have killed Eminem”. Even though the tweet has been deleted, people have not stopped talking about it.

Many people took it as a joke however still continued to use the hashtag just to let others know that it was not a serious thing. Some shared memes to describe how crushed they were with the news. Fans also took to Twitter to pay tribute to Eminem by sharing his hits, his videos, and other work of his.

What Is Eminem Upto?

On July 10, 2020, Eminem dropped a collaborative track with Kid Cudi, “The Adventures of Moon Man and Slim Shady”. Around the same time, a source close to the rapper disclosed that the ‘Love The Way You Lie’ rapper was uncomfortable over the content of Mariah Carey’s memoir. The rapper did not respond to this. And looks like he’s going to continue to do that.

Of course, Eminem has not even commented on this trend of his. But at least, we definitely know that he’s safe and sound. Here’s hoping that this joke ends right here, due to its severely disturbing nature.
