Is Coachella 2021 Cancelled For Good? Here’s the Latest…

2020 has been an unpredictable year, to say the least. The world reeled from the arrival of an unprecedented pandemic of mass proportions. And, just as leading industries were impacted, the music world came to its own halt. Further, live aspects of the industry – concerts, concert venues, musicians’ tours, etc. all came to a standstill. 

The Cancellation of Coachella 2020

And, with that, one of the world’s most anticipated music festivals – the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival – was cancelled, too. The festival, featured the biggest artists in the world on annual basis. Avid music fans and concert goers marked their calendars months in advance, hoping for a glimpse of the star-studded line up in Palm Springs. But, as 2020 reeked of uncertainty and danger, Coachella was inevitably cancelled. 

However, as artist contracts and technicalities surrounding their availability hanged in the balance, fans received a glimmer of hope. Coachella 2020 was scheduled to move to October 2021. But, as the situation world tows a fine line, organizers of the musical mega event remain confused.

What’s the Verdict for Coachella 2021?

In addition, out of the many variables to be considered, there are two in main focus. And, those are post election results and the trajectory of COVID-19 through the next few months. So, with that, the final hope of Coachella 2021 is gray, still. 

While there was no confirmation of the event taking place as planned, there hasn’t been any confirmation of a cancellation either. And, so, much like the rest of the year, we’ll just have to wait and watch.
