Is There a New ‘Mean Girls’ Movie in The Works?

Almost two decades since the premiere of ‘Mean Girls’, three of the original cast members were recently seen. Amanda Seyfried, Lacey Chabert, and Lindsay Lohan were captured on set in early October for this mysterious venture, sparking intense speculation among fans about the possibility of a new ‘Mean Girls’ movie being in the works.

The Mamma Mia actress, Amanda, was captured walking into a trailer, gracefully carrying a sizable black tote bag, and elegantly dressed in a form-fitting pink dress. Meanwhile, Lacey, known for her role in ‘Ghosts of Girlfriends Past’, was observed in a comparable dress accompanied by a light pink coat. In contrast, Lindsay opted for a black ensemble on that particular day.

Although the photographs might suggest otherwise, the outlet clarified that Lacey, Lindsay and Amanda were actually filming on a Los Angeles football field. It was revealed that the actresses were involved in shooting a Walmart Black Friday shopping commercial. Regardless of this commercial project, the entire original cast has consistently voiced their excitement and eagerness for a potential ‘Mean Girls’ sequel.

In another interview, Rachel expressed interest in portraying Regina George in a later stage of her life, stating, “It would be fun to play Regina George later in her life and see where life took her!” Two years later, Lindsay and Amanda jointly confirmed that, at that time, there was no ‘Mean Girls’ sequel in production that aligned with their preferences.
