J-Hope of BTS Releases The Teaser Video For His Forthcoming Solo Track, ‘Arson’

J-Hope, a member of BTS, has released the teaser video for his next solo song, ‘Arson.’

J-Hope raps the song’s title over minimalist percussive beats in the 30-second film, which was uploaded to Hybe Label’s YouTube channel on 14th July. It features slow-motion video of a catastrophic automobile explosion.

The teaser precedes the upcoming debut album by the singer, titled ‘Jack In The Box,’ which was revealed in June and previewed by the release of the first track, ‘More,’ earlier this month.

The K-pop artist has already shared a number of other images leading up to his debut, including a surreal music video for ‘More’ and a set of concept pictures for ‘Arson.’ The record’s previously stated 10-song tracklist, which was released last week, will include the most recent single.

The first solo album produced by a BTS member, ‘Jack In The Box,’ is slated for release on 15th July and follows the boy band’s brief hiatus last month to concentrate on separate projects. In a press statement from his label, Big Hit Music, J-Hope stated that ‘Jack In The Box’ will allow him to break the mould and expand further.

‘Jack In The Box’ will be released before J-Hope’s main stage performance at Lollapalooza, which is on  31st July. Along with fellow late entrant Tomorrow X Together, the artist was added to the Chicago festival’s line-up earlier this month. He will headline Lollapalooza’s fourth and final day alongside Green Day, making history as the first South Korean performer to do so in the US.

J-Hope also contributed to BTS’ most recent anthology album, ‘Proof,’ which came out in June. The lead song, ‘Yet To Come,’ received a five-star review from NME’s Rhian Daly, who said it “offers poignant reflection and an optimistic invitation into the future.”
