James Gunn Unveils Incredible LEGO Recreation of ‘Superman’ Trailer

Months before Superman’s Summer 2025 premiere, the first teaser trailer was published, and it has created a lot of buzz. Trevor Carlee, one animator, demonstrated his excitement by making a stunning LEGO replica of the trailer. His animation immediately became popular and attracted the interest of writer-director James Gunn. In the YouTube description of the video, Carlee expressed his enthusiasm for the film and his passion for it. Gunn posted the video on X after it became popular after being uploaded on Christmas Day, wishing fans a Merry Christmas and hinting that the movie would be ready by July.

Since its publication, the trailer has received over 2.4 million views, breaking previous records for the amount of time people have been interested in it. The response to it has been very good, which has increased interest in the movie’s summer release. The film has generated a lot of discussion, particularly because it deviated from the popular Superman portrayal by Henry Cavill.

David Corenswet plays Superman in the new movie, bringing the legendary character to life in the LEGO version and the teaser. Nicholas Hoult’s Lex Luthor, Rachel Brosnahan’s Lois Lane, Nathan Fillion’s Guy Gardner, Edi Gathegi’s Mister Terrific, and Isabela Merced’s Hawkgirl are some of the other important characters.

In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Gunn clarified that the film’s emphasis is on Superman’s human troubles attempting to function in everyday life rather than his superhuman abilities. He decided to begin the teaser and the movie by showcasing Superman’s frail side, a motif that runs throughout the narrative. Gunn also talked about how Corenswet’s perspective led to the choice to include Superman’s recognizable crimson trunks.

Corenswet claimed that Superman, an extraterrestrial with superhuman strength, would not want to frighten kids, according to Gunn. This was the character’s core, and it served as inspiration for the costume’s design.

On 11th July 2025, ‘Superman’ is scheduled to open in theatres.
